The long-standing debate over which administration delivered more tangible infrastructure — former President Uhuru Kenyatta (2013–2017) or President William Ruto (2022–present) — has now been subjected to an independent Artificial Intelligence (AI) assessment. The study, conducted by People Daily Digital, analyzed publicly documented records and the status of infrastructure projects as of early 2026.
Social media, public forums, and political rallies have long been arenas for partisan claims, but this AI evaluation aimed to provide a structured, unbiased comparison.Researchers posed the same question to multiple AI chatbots:“In your own unbiased assessment, of all the infrastructure projects done by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta in his first term and the projects done by President William Ruto up to now in his first term, which of the two has delivered more in terms of development?”
The findings, which include road networks, bridges, public facilities, and key national projects, offer a data-driven perspective on a debate that has often been fueled by political loyalty rather than facts.
As the nation gears up for 2027, the AI assessment adds a fresh layer of evidence to discussions about presidential performance, accountability, and infrastructure legacy in Kenya.
