The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has publicly distanced itself from the activities and statements of Oketch Salah, making it clear that he does not represent the party in any official capacity.

In a statement posted on the party’s official X account on Saturday, February 7, 2026, ODM emphasized that all party positions, activities, and engagements must be conducted through the Party Secretariat and with the approval of the party leadership.

“The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) wishes to clarify that any activities, statements, or engagements undertaken by Mr Oketch Salah are carried out strictly in his personal capacity and do not represent or bind the Orange Democratic Movement in any way,” the statement read.

The clarification, signed by ODM National Chairperson Gladys Wanga, underscores the party’s insistence on discipline, structure, and centralized communication, amid growing public attention around Salah’s recent engagements.

ODM reiterated that only duly authorized officials and organs of the party are permitted to speak or act on its behalf, warning against actions that may create confusion or misrepresent the party’s official position. The statement is likely to fuel debate within political circles, especially as ODM continues to project unity and organizational order ahead of key political moments.
