BREAKING: SIFUNA BLOCKED AT JKUAT KAREN GATE

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna was on Thursday, September 17, blocked from entering Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Karen Campus, where he had been invited by student leaders to attend the inaugural Law, Policy and Governance Forum.
According to reports, the university administration cancelled the forum at the last minute. A university official cited concerns about possible student unrest, while another explanation mentioned the absence of some professors.
Sifuna said the cancellation and denial of access were “totally uncalled for” and later indicated that he would invite the student leaders to the Senate to continue the conversation.
