2027 ELECTION SECURITY PLAN: IEBC HOLDS HIGH-LEVEL TALKS WITH POLICE COMMANDERS
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has held a high-level consultative meeting with Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and senior police commanders as preparations intensify for the 2027 General Election.

The meeting focused on strengthening security planning, coordination and operational preparedness ahead of the polls.
The engagement brings together the electoral body and the country’s top security leadership at a critical stage of preparations, with emphasis on ensuring effective coordination and a secure environment for voters, candidates, election officials and other stakeholders.

The IEBC is expected to continue engaging security agencies and other stakeholders as it works towards comprehensive election preparedness for the 2027 General Election
