Ukweli Party presidential aspirant Boniface Mwangi marked his 43rd birthday with an act of community service, spending his lunch hour serving meals to customers at Migingo Island Hotel in Kenyatta Market.
Rather than hosting a traditional birthday celebration, Mwangi chose to dedicate the day to serving others, saying that true leadership begins with humility and service. While interacting with customers, he served meals, shared conversations, and even laughed off a few spilled bowls of soup, describing the experience as a reminder that “dignity is found in service.”
The event also marked the launch of his #43ForBonnie Challenge, an initiative through which he has committed to spending 43 days serving Kenyans in different roles before the end of 2026. The challenge is designed to encourage active citizenship and demonstrate leadership through action rather than promises.
Mwangi said the initiative reflects his vision for Kenya, arguing that meaningful national transformation requires citizens and leaders who are willing to work alongside ordinary people.
“The Kenya we deserve won’t be built by words alone; it will be built by citizens who choose to show up for one another. I’m here to show up,” he said.
The birthday initiative comes as Mwangi continues to position himself as a contender in the 2027 presidential race under the Ukweli Party, with his campaign emphasizing integrity, accountability, citizen participation, and servant leadership.
