Hon. Babu Owino has officially launched the Nairobi County Pool Table Championship in Embakasi East, marking the beginning of one of the largest pool competitions ever organized in the capital.
The championship will bring together talented pool players from all 17 constituencies across Nairobi County, offering them a unique platform to showcase their skills, compete at the highest level, and gain greater recognition in the sport.
With a total prize pool of KSh 5 million, the tournament is expected to attract hundreds of participants and inspire more young people to pursue sports as a pathway to opportunity, talent development, and economic empowerment.
Speaking during the launch, Hon. Babu Owino emphasized the importance of investing in youth through sports, noting that such initiatives help nurture talent, promote unity, and create positive opportunities for young people across Nairobi.
The championship is expected to feature intense competition as players battle for the coveted title and a share of the multi-million-shilling prize fund.
The journey has officially begun.
