Kiambu County Showcases KSh 1.2 Billion Wastewater Investment at Africa Public Service Day Celebrations
Kiambu County has invested over KSh 1.2 billion in sustainable wastewater management projects aimed at improving sanitation, environmental conservation, and water sustainability across the county.

Speaking during the Africa Public Service Day exhibition at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), the Head of Administration, Mr. David Mugo, highlighted the county’s commitment to innovative public service solutions under the theme: “Water and Innovation: Transforming Lives Through Public Service.”
Mr. Mugo made the remarks while welcoming the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Hon. Geoffrey Ruku, during his visit to the Kiambu County exhibition stand at Kicc.
He noted that the county’s investment in wastewater infrastructure is designed to enhance water harvesting, treatment, and reuse, especially during rainy seasons and catchment periods. The initiative seeks to improve access to clean water, protect the environment, and support sustainable development for residents.
Hon. Geoffrey Ruku commended Kiambu County for embracing innovation and implementing practical solutions that address water and sanitation challenges. He emphasized the importance of public institutions adopting modern technologies and sustainable practices to improve service delivery and enhance the quality of life for citizens.
The Africa Public Service Day celebrations continue to provide a platform for government institutions, counties, and stakeholders to showcase innovations, share best practices, and strengthen public service excellence across the continent.
