KIGANJO, Kenya — September 28, 2026 — Newly graduated police officers at the National Police College–Kiganjo Main Campus have received the newly introduced Kenya Police Service uniforms as they prepare to transition into active duty.
The uniforms were issued on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in an exercise overseen by the Kenya Police Service Director of Logistics, Senior Assistant Inspector General Peter Ndung’u.
Ndung’u was accompanied by senior officers from Vigilance House and the National Police College during the distribution exercise.
The Kenya Police Service said the issuance of the new uniforms marks another milestone in the transition of newly trained officers from police training into active service.
The exercise comes as the officers prepare to take up their responsibilities within the Service, equipped with the required uniform and other essential items for their deployment.
The Kenya Police Service continues to undertake measures aimed at strengthening professionalism, operational readiness and the welfare of officers as they begin their careers in policing.
The newly graduated officers are expected to proceed to their respective duty stations following completion of the required training and transition processes.
