MUKURU HOUSING ALLOCATION: BOARD BOSS ASSURES RESIDENTS OF TRANSPARENT AND FAIR PROCESS

NAIROBI, KENYA — Affordable Housing Board CEO Joe Mutugu has reassured residents of Mukuru that concerns raised over the affordable housing allocation process are being addressed.

Speaking during a meeting with Mukuru residents, Mutugu said the Board remains committed to ensuring that the allocation process is transparent, orderly and responsive to the needs of eligible residents.

He emphasized that priority will be given to duly enumerated Mukuru residents and applicants who meet the established allocation criteria, as the Board works to ensure the process is fair and accountable.

The reassurance comes amid concerns from some residents regarding the allocation process, with the Board moving to address the issues raised and provide clarity to eligible applicants.

Mutugu reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to working closely with the Mukuru community to ensure that the affordable housing programme delivers its intended benefits to residents.
