By Francis otieno/ReporterMathare Constituency has hosted an economic empowerment programme aimed at supporting startups and helping women entrepreneurs expand their businesses and build sustainable livelihoods.
Hon. Anthony Oluoch said the initiative seeks to strengthen economic opportunities for residents while promoting collaboration on joint programmes that can improve livelihoods across Nairobi.
The event brought together CS Opiyo Wandayi, Nairobi leaders including Hon. Phelix Odiwuor of Lang’ata, Hon. Esther Passaris, Senator Karen Nyamu, as well as Members of County Assembly and ODM grassroots leaders from across the city.
The leaders emphasized the importance of supporting small businesses, startups and women-led enterprises as a pathway to greater economic inclusion and household empowerment.
The programme also provided an opportunity for leaders and grassroots representatives to engage on initiatives aimed at expanding economic opportunities for communities across Nairobi.
Oluoch reaffirmed his commitment to working with various stakeholders to advance programmes that create sustainable livelihoods and strengthen the economic resilience of Mathare residents.
