Gachagua Allies Blame Ndindi Nyoro as New PPK Party Sparks Fresh Mt Kenya Power Struggle

Allies of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua have accused Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro of being behind the formation of the newly unveiled People’s Patriotic Kenya (PPK) party, alleging that the new political outfit is intended to divide the Mt Kenya vote and weaken the region’s political influence.

The allies claim that the emergence of PPK is part of a broader strategy to fragment the political base of Mt Kenya ahead of the next electoral cycle, particularly by creating competing political centres within the region.

They have questioned the timing of the new party and its potential impact on efforts to consolidate Mt Kenya’s political voice, warning that multiple parties competing for the same constituency could ultimately benefit rival political interests.

The accusations have placed Ndindi Nyoro at the centre of a growing political debate over who should shape Mt Kenya’s political future. His allies and supporters, however, have yet to publicly accept the allegations that he is responsible for the formation or political agenda of PPK.
