Caleb Amisi: Linda Mwananchi Will Live On Through a Coalition, Not a New Political Party

Speaking on the movement’s future, Amisi stated that Linda Mwananchi will become part of a broader political coalition ahead of the 2027 General Election. However, he clarified that it will not be registered as a new political party because the legal timelines make that impractical.
“Linda Mwananchi was my baby. I cannot abandon it, and it will become part of a coalition. However, there cannot be a political party called Linda Mwananchi because you can’t register a new party in less than a year,” Amisi said.
His remarks suggest that the movement will pursue its political objectives by aligning with an existing coalition rather than seeking independent party registration.
The statement comes as political realignments continue to gather pace ahead of the 2027 elections, with parties and political movements exploring coalition arrangements to strengthen their electoral prospects.
