Former Budget and Appropriations Committee Chair Hon. Ndindi Nyoro has apologized to Kenyans for missing the parliamentary vote on the Finance Bill, saying he understands the public expected him to participate in the crucial debate.
Speaking during a press conference, Nyoro criticized the manner in which the Finance Bill was handled, claiming the legislation was rushed through Parliament and contained hidden clauses that could have serious consequences for ordinary Kenyans.
He warned that some of the provisions would increase the burden on citizens if implemented.
Nyoro also took a swipe at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, saying the former deputy president “talks too much” on political matters. However, he avoided being drawn into the ongoing political rivalry between the “Tutam” and “Wantam” camps.
“I am not part of either Tutam or Wantam,” Nyoro declared, adding that his political position and future direction will be made public within the next four weeks.
His remarks have intensified speculation over his next political move ahead of the 2027 General Election. Political observers believe his forthcoming announcement could reshape alliances within the country’s opposition and ruling political formations.
As Kenyans continue to debate the Finance Bill and its economic impact, all eyes are now on Ndindi Nyoro as the countdown begins to his promised declaration on his political future.
