International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest platform for flexible work with leading brands including Regus and HQ, has announced the opening of three state-of-the-art flexible workspaces across Nairobi, marking a major expansion aimed at meeting the growing demand for hybrid working solutions in Kenya.
The new centres, launched through a strategic partnership with a leading local property investor, will provide modern co-working spaces, private offices, meeting rooms, and creative collaboration areas designed to support businesses of all sizes, from startups and SMEs to multinational corporations.
The expansion comes at a time when hybrid work continues to reshape the global workplace landscape, enabling employees to work closer to home while helping businesses reduce operational costs and improve productivity.
The three newly opened locations include:
HQ I&M Tower – Situated in Nairobi’s financial district, the centre offers 157 workstations and is tailored for professionals in finance, legal services, and consulting. The facility will host networking initiatives such as “Capital Connections” mornings to encourage business collaboration and knowledge sharing.
HQ Nairobi Business Park – Located along Ngong Road, the centre features 265 workstations and targets enterprise clients and fast-growing businesses. Positioned within a campus-style environment, it will host corporate wellness programs, technology meetups, and innovation-focused events that tap into Nairobi’s growing reputation as Africa’s Silicon Savannah.
Regus, 1 Park Avenue – Located in the premium Parklands district, the centre provides 265 workstations in a modern development surrounded by high-end retail and hospitality amenities. The workspace is designed to serve a diverse business community through executive networking sessions and entrepreneurship workshops.
Speaking during the announcement, Mark Dixon, CEO and Founder of IWG, said the expansion reflects the company’s confidence in Nairobi’s growing role as a regional business hub.
“We are establishing a stronger and much-needed footprint in Nairobi with these latest openings, and our partnership with Regus and HQ in Nairobi is a testament to the proven value of our platform. The demand for flexible work is a permanent transformation, driven by companies that recognise it boosts productivity and lowers costs, and by employees who want a better work-life balance with a shorter commute. These new locations are another step in our strategy to provide world-class facilities in the heart of communities everywhere,” said Dixon.
The local property investor behind the partnership noted that businesses are increasingly embracing flexible workspace models and that the collaboration will help meet evolving market needs.
“We are excited to partner with IWG to introduce globally recognised brands such as Regus and HQ in Nairobi. As businesses increasingly adopt flexible and hybrid work models, the demand for high-quality, agile workspaces is accelerating. Through this partnership, we aim to deliver world-class solutions that support the evolving needs of enterprises and entrepreneurs across Kenya,” said Sachit Raja-Shah.
Peter Kibera, IWG Country Manager for Kenya, emphasized the wider economic impact of the investment.
“This partnership is a direct response to the demand for high-quality, flexible workspaces. By establishing these centres, we are not only providing world-class facilities for businesses but also creating a ripple effect that boosts the local economy and footfall for surrounding retailers and services. We are creating true community hubs that support growth, innovation, and collaboration,” said Kibera.
The expansion follows a record-breaking year for IWG globally, during which the company recorded its highest-ever revenue and significantly expanded its worldwide network. The Nairobi investment further strengthens Kenya’s position as a leading destination for business innovation, entrepreneurship, and modern workplace solutions in Africa.
