Strengthening the UDA Party in the diaspora constituency and enhancing collaboration between the Nairobi headquarters and diaspora chapters dominated discussions when officials from various diaspora chapters paid a courtesy call to the UDA Party leadership.
The delegation, led by UDA Diaspora Team Chairman Mr. Sam Ronoh, was hosted by UDA Party Secretary General , where they deliberated on strategies to ensure the voices and votes of Kenyans living abroad remain influential as the country heads towards the General Elections next year.
The team, comprising members from different countries across the globe, expressed confidence in the Kenya Kwanza administration under President , citing ongoing development projects and government initiatives as evidence of progress.
“This administration, under President William Ruto, has done so well. We are convinced that it must be given a second chance. We have seen on social media the roads being built, houses, and stadia. We will be making physical visits to some of them; starting with the Talanta Stadium and the housing program units. But we are convinced that the administration has done well and should be re-elected. We will be giving our endorsement tomorrow,” said Mr. Ronoh.
The diaspora team also applauded President Ruto’s administration for recognizing the importance of Kenyans living abroad through the establishment of a dedicated State Department to handle diaspora affairs under a Principal Secretary.
The delegation is expected to meet Party Leader President William Ruto tomorrow as part of continued engagements aimed at strengthening the party’s global support network.
Speaking during the meeting, UDA Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan thanked the diaspora team for their continued partnership and support to the party. He further challenged them to spearhead the establishment of a Diaspora Congress in line with the party’s constitutional requirements, noting that such a structure would deepen their participation in party affairs and national development.
The discussions underscored the growing role of the Kenyan diaspora in shaping the country’s political and economic future, as UDA intensifies preparations ahead of the upcoming elections.
