Oburu Oginga Reaffirms ODM Leadership, Pledges Strategic Path to Power
Special Delegates Conference (SDC) today, veteran politician Oburu Oginga reaffirmed his position as the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement, pledging to steer the party with renewed focus on justice, reform, and strategic coalition-building.
Speaking to delegates, Oburu stated:”I stand before you today with a deep sense of humility and a sacred duty to protect the legacy of ODM. After 32 years of service as an MP, Senator, and Party Trustee, I am honoured to be affirmed as your Party Leader.”
He emphasized that his leadership mission is clear: to keep the party as the preeminent symbol of justice and reform for all Kenyans. Oburu outlined a vision of strengthening grassroots structures, building an unshakable institutional foundation, and leading with a steady hand.
Looking ahead, he highlighted the importance of strategic foresight in achieving power, signaling plans to engage with like-minded parties and formations. “Together, we hope to come up with win-win pre-coalition arrangements that reflect the true aspirations of our people,” he added.
This affirmation marks a pivotal moment for ODM as it seeks to consolidate its base, expand influence, and position itself strongly ahead of the upcoming political cycles.
