Senior representatives of religious, multilaterals, government and academic institutions met in Rome to strengthen role of Religion in Sustainable development.

The International Partnership on Religion and Sustainable Development (PaRD) recently convened its leadership meeting in Rome, bringing together members of its Steering Board for three days of intensive consultative discussions focused on strengthening the organization and charting its future direction.
The high-level meeting provided an opportunity for the leadership to review PaRD’s vision, mission, and ongoing activities, while also exploring new strategies and structures necessary for the organization’s expansion and long-term development.
During the deliberations, the Steering Board assessed the current progress of the partnership and discussed ways to enhance its impact in promoting the role of religion in advancing sustainable development globally.

The Head of the PaRD Secretariat, Khushwant Singh, together with Secretariat members Peter Noak and Henriette Greulich, presented an overview of the partnership’s current activities and its funding status, highlighting key milestones and ongoing initiatives.
Steering Board members offered several recommendations aimed at strengthening the partnership’s institutional framework, expanding its reach, and improving coordination among stakeholders.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from members to position International Partnership on Religion and Sustainable Development as a leading global organization that promotes and enhances the role of faith actors in advancing sustainable development and inclusive global progress.
