Makueni’s Only Elected Woman MCA Elizabeth Vows Bigger Impact After Jamhuri Leadership Awar

The first and only elected woman Member of County Assembly (MCA) in Makueni County, Hon. Elizabeth, has termed her leadership journey as just the beginning of greater things ahead for women and the people of Makueni.
Speaking after receiving recognition at the Jamhuri Leadership Awards, Hon. Elizabeth said the honor is a motivation for her to work even harder in serving the people and championing the empowerment of women.
She noted that her achievement proves that women can rise to leadership despite challenges and societal barriers, urging women to continue pushing for space in leadership and decision-making positions.
“Being the only elected woman MCA in Makueni is not the end of the journey. It is just a step to greater things ahead. The future is bright,” she said.
Hon. Elizabeth encouraged women across the country to remain bold and determined, emphasizing that leadership positions are not handed out easily.
“Power is not given; you must fight for it.
Women must continue trailblazing and believing in their ability to lead and transform society,” she added.
