Lang’ata Member of Parliament Hon. Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, has firmly dismissed claims that he has been sent by President William Ruto or any political formation to vie for the Nairobi Senate seat in the 2027 General Election under a so-called “broad-based” arrangement.
Speaking amid growing political speculation, Jalang’o clarified that his political journey remains independent and people-driven, insisting that any future decision he makes will be guided solely by the interests of Nairobi residents and not external political instructions.
“I want to be very clear. I have not been sent by President Ruto or anyone else to contest for the Nairobi Senate seat. Any leadership ambition I may have will be based on consultation with the people, not political sponsorship or backroom deals,” Jalang’o stated.
