Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has explained his decision to align with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) despite being the leader of his own party, Chama Cha Kazi (CCK), saying the move is driven purely by the need for development-focused politics.
Speaking while accompanying Hon. Leo Wamuthende during campaign activities in Mbeere North, Kuria said he had made a deliberate choice to pursue development through a party that currently holds state power.“Tumeamua njia ya kuingia kwa mazungumzo ya maendeleo ni kupitia chama cha UDA,” Kuria stated.
He noted that while CCK remains his political vehicle, the reality of governance and development requires engagement with the ruling party, which has the capacity to influence national policy, resource allocation, and development priorities.
