RAILA’S LEGACY LIVES ON: MBADI JOINS ODM YOUTH TO LAUNCH NAIROBI ANNIVERSARY CARAVAN
Treasury CS John Mbadi Flags Off Caravan Ahead of Jacaranda Grounds Commemorative Event
NAIROBI, KENYA — Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has joined the Nairobi ODM Youth League at Pawaa Centre, Riverside, to flag off the Raila Odinga First Anniversary caravan ahead of the commemorative event at Jacaranda Grounds.
The caravan is set to traverse Nairobi County, bringing ODM’s anniversary activities closer to residents while mobilising the public to reflect on the life, political journey and enduring legacy of the late former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga.
The initiative seeks to honour Raila’s contribution to Kenya’s democratic struggle and his longstanding advocacy for social justice, national unity and youth empowerment.
As the anniversary approaches, the caravan provides an opportunity for supporters and members of the public to reflect on the ideals associated with Raila’s political journey and the role of the next generation in advancing them.
The mobilisation also places young people at the centre of the commemorative activities, recognising their role in carrying forward conversations about democracy, inclusion and the country’s future.
As Kenyans remember the late statesman, the message from the organisers is one of continuity: preserving the values he championed while pursuing a more just, united and prosperous Kenya.
Baba’s legacy lives on in the generation he inspired and the struggle he championed.
