Kamukunji parliamentary aspirant Omar Aden has received a significant political endorsement as he intensifies efforts to consolidate grassroots support and mount a formidable challenge for the constituency’s parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election.

Aden was endorsed during a high-profile ceremony at Paradise Hall in Eastleigh, Nairobi, where he addressed hundreds of supporters and outlined his vision for the constituency.

The ceremony was attended by political and community leaders alongside other notable leaders, community representatives and supporters.

The endorsement marks a significant moment in Aden’s campaign as he seeks to galvanise support across Kamukunji and build momentum ahead of the 2027 parliamentary contest.

In a pointed political attack, Aden accused the incumbent MP Yusuf Hassan of poor leadership and inadequate service delivery, arguing that the people of Kamukunji deserve more responsive, accountable and transformative representation.
He criticised what he described as shortcomings in addressing the needs and aspirations of residents and warned that the political landscape was changing ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Aden declared that the incumbent’s time in office was coming to an end, signalling his determination to mount a sustained challenge and present himself as an alternative leadership option for Kamukunji.

“Your time is up,” Aden told supporters, as he called for a new chapter of leadership focused on development, accountability and direct engagement with residents.

Aden said his proposed leadership would prioritise revitalising the business environment in Kamukunji while expanding economic opportunities for young people, entrepreneurs and small-scale enterprises.
He identified security, education, accountability, youth empowerment and efficient service delivery as key pillars of his agenda, pledging to pursue an inclusive development model responsive to the needs of residents.

Aden also articulated what he described as a two-term development vision, arguing that sustained leadership would provide the continuity required to initiate, implement and complete transformative projects across the constituency.

“We are not cowards. We are ready to lead and to be held accountable. We are saying one term is not enough to transform Kamukunji, but two terms of focused, people-centred leadership will deliver the Kamukunji we all want,” he said.

As part of his preparations for the 2027 contest, Aden announced plans for a constituency-wide listening tour aimed at engaging residents directly and gathering their views on challenges confronting different neighbourhoods.

The tour is expected to cover various parts of Kamukunji, including Eastleigh and Majengo, where he plans to engage residents, traders, young people and other community stakeholders.
Aden said the consultations would help shape a constituency development agenda informed by priorities emerging from the grassroots.

The Paradise Hall endorsement comes amid heightened political activity ahead of the 2027 General Election, with aspirants increasingly intensifying grassroots mobilisation and community outreach.
Aden’s campaign is anchored on youth empowerment, enterprise development, security, education, accountability, social cohesion and improved service delivery as he seeks to translate his political message into broad-based support across Kamukunji.
