DAP Reorganizes in Trans Nzoia as Patrick Simiyu Takes County Helm, Grassroots Polls Set

The Democratic Action Party (DAP) today convened a high-level leadership engagement in Trans Nzoia County, marking a major step forward in the Party’s organizational strengthening and grassroots expansion.During the meeting, Hon. Patrick Simiyu, MP for Cherengany, was unanimously endorsed as the DAP Trans Nzoia County Chairman, succeeding Mr. Werunga.

The endorsement reflects broad confidence in his leadership and aligns with earlier party resolutions aimed at consolidating county structures ahead of upcoming grassroots activities.In line with DAP’s commitment to internal democracy and member participation, the Party resolved that Trans Nzoia County will conduct grassroots elections within the next two weeks.

These elections are expected to further entrench participatory leadership and energize party structures at the ward and constituency levels.

Additionally, the Party announced that the National Executive Council (NEC) and the National Governing Council (NGC) will convene within the next three weeks to deliberate on the Party’s national strategy, organizational priorities, and political roadmap.
