KISUMU — Incoming Kisumu County Governor and current Senator Tom Ojienda has provided new computers to Nyadina Mixed Secondary School in West Nyakach, in a move aimed at expanding learners’ access to technology and practical digital skills.
The donation is expected to give students greater opportunities to engage with technology experientially, while deepening their understanding of how digital tools can be applied in education and everyday life.
Ojienda said access to technology can help reveal hidden abilities, nurture talent and open new opportunities for young people, particularly learners whose potential may only emerge when they are exposed to new experiences and resources.
“Such access continues to reveal ability, nurture talent and open possibilities, particularly for children whose gifts may only be discovered through exposure,” Ojienda said.
The initiative underscores the growing importance of digital literacy in education and the need to equip learners with practical skills that can prepare them for an increasingly technology-driven future.
