He attributed this impressive performance to increased member savings and prudent investment decisions that continue to deliver solid returns.

“This performance affirms the vision of the NSSF leadership under the Strategic Plan 2023–2027, which I launched in May 2024,” Mudavadi said.

He added that the plan sets a clear path towards achieving double-digit returns for members while strengthening Kenyans’ constitutional right to affordable and accessible social security. The Prime Cabinet Secretary highlighted that NSSF recorded a historic 17 percent interest on members’ savings in the 2024–2025 financial year, a sharp rise from 11 percent the previous year. He further revealed that the Fund has significantly improved service delivery, with some benefits now processed within a day. Over the same financial year, NSSF settled approximately 300,000 claims valued at about KSh 25 billion.

Addressing delegates during the 8th NSSF Annual General Meeting, Mudavadi reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to providing strong policy direction and oversight to ensure the Fund remains stable, credible, and sustainable. He emphasized NSSF’s critical role in driving social protection and supporting Kenya’s broader economic transformation agenda.

He also urged all employers to remit employee contributions on time, stressing that compliance is key to safeguarding workers’ futures. At the same time, Mudavadi assured members that NSSF remains committed to the highest standards of governance, transparency, risk management, and data protection.“The growth and reforms at NSSF demonstrate what is possible when trust, accountability, and sound leadership come together for the benefit of Kenyans,” he said.
