By APresident William Ruto has said the commencement of the Olpusimoru Power Station marks a major step toward expanding electricity access and accelerating development in parts of Narok West that have for years struggled with limited power connectivity.

“For too long, parts of Narok West have lived in darkness. We have changed this by commencing the Olpusimoru Power Station to light up homes, strengthen security and power local businesses,” President Ruto said.

The project is expected to improve access to reliable electricity for households while supporting businesses, schools and other economic activities in the area.

The President said improved electricity connectivity will also contribute to enhanced security by extending lighting to previously underserved areas.

The development is being positioned as part of the government’s wider efforts to expand energy infrastructure and ensure more communities benefit from reliable electricity.

For residents of Narok West, the commencement of the Olpusimoru Power Station could mark a significant shift — from years of darkness toward greater economic opportunity, improved security and better quality of life.
