Opposition leaders are gearing up for a major public engagement with Kenyans on 9th October 2026, through a planned People’s Forum expected to bring together citizens, political leaders and other stakeholders.

The forum is set to provide a platform for Kenyans to raise concerns about the country’s political, economic and social direction, while opposition leaders outline their priorities and proposals ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The planned gathering comes at a politically significant period, with debate intensifying around the performance of the Kenya Kwanza administration, the cost of living, governance, accountability and the country’s political future.

Organizers are expected to use the forum to directly engage citizens and listen to views from different communities, positioning the event as a major test of the opposition’s ability to mobilize Kenyans around a common agenda.

The 9th October People’s Forum could therefore become a significant moment in Kenya’s emerging political contest, as opposition leaders seek to turn public concerns into a broader national political conversation.

Further details on the venue, participating leaders and programme are expected to be announced by the organizers.
