 Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua is stepping up efforts to expand the party’s grassroots presence across the country, with the party continuing to rally supporters and strengthen its structures ahead of the 2027 political contest.

The party has officially opened its Nyeri County DCP office in Gatitu, Nyeri Town, marking another milestone in its efforts to establish a stronger presence at the county and grassroots levels.

The new office is expected to serve as a coordination and mobilisation centre for DCP activities in Nyeri, bringing party supporters and local leadership closer to the party’s organisational structures.

The development comes as Gachagua continues to push for wider grassroots mobilisation, with the party seeking to build a broad support base across the country.

DCP officials said the opening of the Nyeri office demonstrates the party’s commitment to establishing functional structures that can engage citizens, coordinate activities and strengthen participation at the grassroots.
