Kindiki Courts Njuri Ncheke Elders as Government Pushes Peace, Unity and Development Agenda

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Friday held a consultative meeting with the Njuri Ncheke Council of Elders in Nchiru, Meru County, where discussions focused on strengthening peace, fostering national unity, accelerating socio-economic development, and enhancing the implementation of key government programmes.
The Deputy President emphasized the important role of traditional institutions in promoting harmony, resolving community disputes, and supporting the government’s development agenda at the grassroots level. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working closely with cultural and community leaders to ensure inclusive development and improved service delivery.
The meeting also explored ways of enhancing collaboration between the national government and local leadership to drive economic empowerment, maintain security, and promote cohesion across communities.
