President William Ruto has called on all Kenyans to participate in what he described as the most significant national conversation since the promulgation of the Constitution in 2010, as the country embarks on developing its next long-term development blueprint beyond Vision 2030.
Speaking during his address to the nation, President Ruto emphasized that the process is neither a Government project nor a political initiative, but a national undertaking that belongs to every Kenyan. He urged citizens from all walks of life to contribute ideas that will shape the country’s future for generations to come.
The President said the conversation presents a unique opportunity for Kenyans to define the nation’s aspirations and priorities in areas such as economic transformation, education, healthcare, technology, infrastructure, environmental sustainability, governance, and social inclusion.
He challenged citizens to reflect on a fundamental question: “What kind of Kenya do we want to leave for future generations?”
President Ruto noted that the success of the next national development agenda will depend on broad public participation, innovation, and shared responsibility, adding that every Kenyan has a role to play in building a more prosperous, inclusive, and resilient nation.
The nationwide engagement is expected to bring together citizens, youth, professionals, businesses, civil society, academia, and leaders from across the country to contribute ideas that will guide Kenya’s development beyond the Vision 2030 framework.
