Newly appointed Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Prof. John Okumu has pledged to deliver measurable results within his first year in office, promising to restore confidence in the institution by addressing key financial and operational challenges.

Speaking during the official handover ceremony as he assumed leadership of the university, Prof. Okumu said his administration would prioritize financial stability, strengthen academic excellence, and foster unity among all stakeholders.

He acknowledged the financial pressures facing the university and committed to implementing practical reforms aimed at improving the institution’s sustainability while safeguarding its core mission of teaching, research, and innovation.
