AFRICA’S LEADING STORYTELLERS SHARE THE MAGIC OF GLENMORANGIE IN A LANDMARK CAMPAIGN
By Jeff Kizzilah Digital Editor Glenmorangie, the renowned Highland single malt Scotch whisky, has unveiled its most ambitious Africa-focused campaign, bringing together some of the continent's most influential creative voices to celebrate storytelling, heritage and exceptional craftsmanship.
The groundbreaking campaign features Kenyan actress Kate Kamau, Nigerian artist and creative executive Darey Art Alade, and South African author and commentator Khaya Dlanga, who journeyed to Glenmorangie’s historic distillery in Tain, Scotland, for an immersive cultural experience.

Set against the breathtaking landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, the campaign captures authentic moments of discovery as the three storytellers explore the traditions, people and craftsmanship behind Glenmorangie’s world-famous whisky.
Through conversations with the distillery team and shared experiences, the campaign highlights the powerful connection between African creativity and Scotland’s centuries-old whisky-making heritage.
At the heart of the campaign is the belief that true character is built over time. For more than 180 years, Glenmorangie has perfected its signature whisky using Scotland’s tallest copper stills, while the featured African creatives have each built distinguished careers through passion, resilience and originality.
Kate Kamau described the journey as a reminder that storytelling transcends words, saying the experience showed how traditions and heritage become part of people’s identity. Darey Art Alade noted that meeting the people behind the whisky reinforced the importance of patience, discipline and dedication in every creative process. Khaya Dlanga reflected that meaningful traditions endure because of the people committed to preserving them.
Caspar MacRae, President and CEO of The Glenmorangie Company, said the collaboration created inspiring conversations between the distillery team and the visiting creatives, adding that the campaign celebrates both Glenmorangie’s heritage and Africa’s vibrant storytelling culture.
International Marketing and Commercial Director Derek Ruediger said African creatives are shaping the future of global storytelling, and the campaign demonstrates how Glenmorangie’s 180-year legacy can connect with a new generation of audiences through authentic African voices.
The campaign will unfold through episodic films, editorial features, cultural conversations and exclusive market experiences across Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa, inviting whisky enthusiasts to experience Glenmorangie’s rich heritage through the eyes of Africa’s leading storytellers.
As African talent continues to influence global conversations in film, fashion, music, literature and design, Glenmorangie’s latest initiative positions storytelling as a bridge between cultures while celebrating the enduring values of creativity, craftsmanship and character.
