Catherine Omanyo Takes Over as ODM Secretary-General, Begins Duties at Chungwa House
Busia Woman Representative Hon. Catherine Omanyo has officially assumed office as the Secretary-General of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) at Chungwa House, marking a new chapter in the party’s leadership.
Her assumption of office follows the exit of former Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna, who formally vacated the position, paving the way for the transition.
In her first official assignment, Hon. Omanyo began signing ODM membership certificates for members from across the country, signaling the commencement of her administrative responsibilities and the party’s continued membership drive.
Her appointment has attracted attention within Kenya’s political landscape, with supporters describing it as a significant milestone for women’s leadership in national politics.
