President William Ruto on Wednesday hosted more than 20,000 United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirants at State House, Nairobi, in what has been described as an unprecedented political engagement aimed at consolidating the party ahead of the next electoral cycle.
The high-level meeting, attended by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, brought together aspirants from across the country, signaling the ruling party’s readiness to entrench its grassroots dominance and maintain political control — a message captured in the rallying call: “Tutam is inevitable.”
Addressing the aspirants, President Ruto emphasized unity, discipline, and service-oriented leadership, urging them to remain anchored on the UDA philosophy of bottom-up economic transformation and people-centered governance.Deputy President Kindiki underscored the importance of loyalty to the party and respect for democratic processes, noting that UDA remains focused on strengthening its structures from the grassroots to the national level.The engagement comes amid heightened political activity as parties quietly position themselves for future contests, with the sheer number of aspirants in attendance underscoring UDA’s growing influence and organizational reach.
