Student leaders from across the country address the media ahead of the June 25 commemoration, calling on young people and all Kenyans to uphold peace, national unity, and responsible civic engagement.
The leaders emphasize the importance of exercising constitutional rights peacefully while honoring the memory of those affected during last year’s demonstrations. They also urge participants to reject violence, destruction of property, hate speech, and any actions that could undermine public safety.
The student leadership fraternity maintains that meaningful civic participation must be guided by respect for the rule of law, dialogue, and the shared commitment to building a united and prosperous Kenya.
The appeal comes as the nation prepares for activities marking the first anniversary of the June 25 Gen Z protests.
