Speaking after the submission, Wanyama said his decision to vie is driven by a commitment to restore the Law Society’s central role as a defender of the rule of law, constitutionalism, and the welfare of advocates across the country.
He emphasized the need for a united, professional, and fearless LSK that speaks with clarity on national issues while delivering tangible value to its members.
Wanyama outlined key pillars of his agenda, including strengthening professional standards, enhancing member welfare and access to opportunities, defending the independence of the legal profession, and repositioning LSK as a respected voice in governance, human rights, and justice sector reforms.
“LSK must rise beyond internal divisions and reclaim its mandate as the conscience of society and the true home of advocates,” Wanyama stated, adding that his campaign will be anchored on inclusivity, integrity, and practical reforms.
The submission of nomination papers sets the stage for what is expected to be a competitive LSK election season, with advocates keenly watching the visions and leadership styles of those seeking to steer the Society into the next chapter.
