Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Imbunya, has lauded the growing partnership between the public and private sectors in improving service delivery across the country.
Speaking during the celebrations marking Africa Public Service Week, Dr. Imbunya emphasized that collaboration between government institutions and private stakeholders has played a critical role in ensuring that essential services reach all Kenyans, including those living in informal settlements.
She noted that public servants have made deliberate efforts to travel across various slums and underserved areas to bring government services closer to citizens, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusivity and equitable development.
“The celebration of public service reflects the strong partnership between the public and private sectors. We must continue working together to ensure efficient service delivery. We have traveled across slums and marginalized communities to make sure services reach every Kenyan,” said Dr. Imbunya.
The PS further applauded public servants for their dedication and called for continued cooperation to strengthen service delivery, promote innovation, and improve the quality of life for citizens across the country.
Africa Public Service Week is an annual event that recognizes the contribution of public servants and highlights the importance of effective, accountable, and citizen-centered public service in driving national development.
