Sudi Challenges Opposition as Kenya Kwanza Intensifies Grassroots Mobilization Through Youth and Women Empowerment
Nakuru County witnessed a strong display of political unity and grassroots mobilization as senior Kenya Kwanza leaders attended the Molo Youth & Women Empowerment Drive aimed at boosting economic opportunities for women and young people.
The event brought together Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development Alice Wahome, Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Molo MP Kimani Kuria, Deputy Governor David Kones, Nakuru East MP David Gikaria, Bahati MP Irene Njoki, Mathira MP Erick Wamumbi, Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Maina, Members of County Assembly and other local leaders.
Speaking during the event, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi took a swipe at the opposition, urging residents to remain steadfast in supporting the Kenya Kwanza administration ahead of the upcoming Ol Kalou by-election. Sudi argued that the government remains focused on delivering development projects and economic empowerment initiatives across the country.
The leaders emphasized that the empowerment drive is designed to place capital, mentorship and business networks directly into the hands of women entrepreneurs and innovative youth, enabling them to grow enterprises, create jobs and strengthen local economies.
Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome defended President William Ruto’s development agenda, stating that the Head of State deserves a second term based on ongoing infrastructure, housing and economic transformation programs. She urged Kenyans to evaluate leadership based on performance and delivery of promises.
Governor Susan Kihika lauded the empowerment initiative, saying that sustainable development can only be achieved when women and youth are equipped with the resources needed to succeed in business and leadership.
Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to implementing projects that directly improve the lives of ordinary Kenyans, while other leaders called for unity and continued support for programs aimed at creating opportunities for young people.
The Molo Youth & Women Empowerment Drive forms part of broader efforts by the Kenya Kwanza administration to promote financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
