ODM LEADERS UNITE IN HOMA BAY TO STRENGTHEN WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND CHART THE REGION’S 2027 POLITICAL DIRECTION

ODM leaders from across the Nyanza region today converged in Homa Bay County for a major fundraising event aimed at supporting several women groups in Rangwe Constituency, reaffirming the party's commitment to grassroots empowerment and inclusive development.

The gathering brought together regional leaders, community representatives, and stakeholders in a demonstration of unity and shared purpose as the region intensifies preparations for the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during the event, the leaders emphasized that today marks an important turning point in their deliberate efforts to effectively deliver the support of the Nyanza region to the broad-based coalition in 2027. They noted that unity among the region’s leadership will be critical in ensuring that the interests of the people are safeguarded while advancing development and economic opportunities.

The leaders further pledged that the entire leadership of the region will speak with one voice on matters affecting the people of Nyanza, stressing that regional development remains their highest priority.

They underscored the importance of empowering women and community-based groups as a foundation for economic growth, social transformation, and sustainable development across the region.

The fundraising initiative is expected to provide financial support to several women groups in Rangwe Constituency, enabling them to expand income-generating activities and improve the livelihoods of their members.

As the region looks ahead to 2027, ODM leaders reiterated their commitment to unity, development, and effective representation, promising to work together in addressing the challenges facing residents while advancing a common vision for the future.
