DIGITAL BODA DOMINATES BEBA AWARDS IN A LANDMARK VICTORY

 The Digital Boda Drivers and Deliveries Association of Kenya (DBDDAK) recorded a historic and commanding victory at the BEBA Awards, sweeping multiple top categories in a highly competitive event that brought together key players in the boda boda and digital mobility sector.
Leading the night’s honours, Calvince Okumu Chairperson of the Association, was awarded Best National Boda Boda Chairperson, recognizing his outstanding leadership, advocacy, and commitment to improving safety, welfare, and professionalism among digital riders nationwide. In a rare double win, Calvince Okumu also clinched the title of Best Male Boda Rider of the Year, underscoring leadership by example and grassroots excellence.
The Association further cemented its national standing by winning:
Best Boda Boda Organization of the Year
Best Online Organization
In a strong show of inclusivity and empowerment, Juliet Odera was named Best Female Boda Rider, celebrating the growing and impactful role of women in the boda boda industry.
This landslide performance represents a landscape win for Digital Boda and reflects the growing trust, credibility, and confidence placed in the Association by riders, partners, and the public. It also affirms the Association’s continued focus on safety, structure, and accountability within the rapidly evolving digital transport ecosystem.
Speaking after the awards, the Association reiterated its commitment to rider welfare, public safety, and constructive engagement with government institutions, healthcare providers, and law enforcement agencies.
