Linda Mwananchi movement leader Hon. Babu Owino on Saturday led a public engagement forum at Kivulini Grounds in Thika, where he reiterated the need for a new style of leadership that listens to citizens, understands their challenges, and delivers practical solutions to improve their lives.
Addressing residents and supporters, Hon. Owino said Kenyans are increasingly yearning for leaders who prioritize the needs of ordinary citizens and remain committed to addressing the economic and social challenges facing the country.
The gathering formed part of the Linda Mwananchi movement’s ongoing nationwide engagements aimed at sharing its vision of hope, accountability, and people-centered governance.
“We continued sharing our message of hope and a vision for better leadership for our country; leadership that puts the people first and delivers real solutions to their everyday concerns,” said Hon. Owino.
He emphasized the importance of inclusive leadership, public participation, and policies that directly address the concerns of wananchi, including the high cost of living, unemployment, and access to quality public services.
The Thika meeting attracted residents from across the region, who expressed their desire for leaders who remain connected to the people and responsive to their needs.
Hon. Owino thanked the residents for their warm reception and support, stating, “Asanteni sana Andu a nyumba,” as he concluded the engagement.
The Linda Mwananchi movement has pledged to continue engaging citizens across the country as it seeks to build a stronger, more inclusive, and prosperous Kenya.
