MP Gitonga Mukunji Questions High Court Verdict on Gachagua Impeachment

Manyatta MP has sharply criticized the judiciary following the High Court’s decision to uphold the impeachment of former Deputy President .

Speaking shortly after the ruling, Mukunji alleged that the judges involved in the case had been compromised, claiming that the verdict did not reflect justice and fairness. The legislator expressed concern over the court’s findings and questioned the independence of the judicial process in handling the high-profile impeachment case.

According to Mukunji, the decision has raised serious questions among supporters of the former Deputy President and could undermine public confidence in key institutions. He maintained that the legal team representing Gachagua should pursue all available avenues of appeal to challenge the verdict.
