By News Desk

Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Hon. Rigathi Gachagua has appealed to his supporters and all Kenyans to remain peaceful and uphold the rule of law before and after the High Court delivers its verdict in his impeachment case.

Hon. Gachagua emphasized the importance of maintaining national unity, avoiding provocation, and respecting the judicial process regardless of the outcome. He urged his supporters across the country to demonstrate maturity and restraint, saying that peace and stability must remain the priority for all citizens.

“We must respect our institutions and allow the courts to perform their constitutional mandate. I call upon all Kenyans to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding before and after the judgment is delivered,” said Gachagua.

The former Deputy President also commended his legal team for their efforts in presenting the case and expressed confidence in the legal process. He noted that while the court’s decision would be respected, his lawyers are prepared to pursue an appeal should the ruling not be favorable.

Gachagua further called on political leaders, civil society groups, and citizens to avoid inflammatory statements that could heighten tensions and instead promote dialogue, tolerance, and national cohesion.

As the nation awaits the court’s determination, the DCP leader reiterated that Kenya’s democratic progress depends on strong institutions, respect for constitutional processes, and peaceful engagement by all stakeholders.
