Arsenal co-chairman Josh Kroenke has praised the overwhelming support the club continues to receive from fans in Kenya following the Gunners’ historic Premier League triumph.
The North London giants finally ended their 22-year wait for the English Premier League title, triggering celebrations across the globe as millions of supporters marked the long-awaited achievement.
Among the countries that stood out in the celebrations was Kenya, where Arsenal supporters flooded streets, social media platforms, entertainment spots and fan zones in jubilant scenes after the club secured the league crown.
Speaking after the triumph, Kroenke acknowledged the unwavering loyalty and passion shown by Kenyan fans throughout the years, describing the East African nation as one of Arsenal’s strongest global fan bases.
“We have seen incredible love and energy from Kenya. The passion Arsenal supporters in Kenya have shown is truly special and deeply appreciated by everyone at the club,” said Kroenke.
The victory marked Arsenal’s first Premier League title since the famous 2003/2004 “Invincibles” season and has been viewed by many supporters as the beginning of a new era under manager Mikel Arteta.
Across Kenya, fans held celebrations in major towns including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Nakuru, with many praising the club for finally delivering silverware after years of rebuilding.
The celebrations further highlighted the massive popularity of in Kenya, where the club enjoys one of the largest football fan bases in the country.
