Herman Manyora Denies Bribery Allegations in Nairobi Hospital Tender Case.

Political analyst Herman Manyora has firmly denied allegations that he received KSh 516,000 from Josephine Luceno in an attempt to influence a tender process at Nairobi Hospital.

Appearing before a Nairobi court, Manyora pleaded not guilty to the charges, maintaining that no such financial transaction ever took place. The case, which has sparked widespread public debate, centers on claims of interference in procurement processes within one of the country’s leading private healthcare institutions.

The court granted Manyora a personal bond of KSh 2 million, with a requirement of two sureties, allowing him to remain free pending further proceedings. The matter is scheduled for mention on April 13.

Legal analysts observe that the court’s decision does not determine guilt or innocence but ensures the accused remains available as investigations continue and trial preparations take shape.

The allegations have reignited national concerns over transparency and accountability in procurement, particularly in institutions that play a critical role in public health.

Stakeholders and observers are closely monitoring the case, which could have broader implications for governance and ethical standards in Kenya’s procurement systems.
