Leaders from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) today convened a high-level Joint Parliamentary Group meeting at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), signaling a new chapter of bipartisan cooperation in addressing key national priorities.

The meeting was led by President William Ruto and ODM Deputy Party Leader Oburu Odinga and brought together Members of Parliament and senior party officials from both sides to deliberate on a 10-point agenda aimed at advancing Kenya’s development and political stability.

The session focused on fostering unity across the political divide and accelerating the implementation of reforms designed to improve governance, strengthen the economy, and enhance service delivery to Kenyans.

Speaking during the meeting, President Ruto emphasized the importance of collaboration among leaders regardless of party affiliation, noting that the country’s progress depends on collective responsibility and shared vision.

Oburu Odinga echoed the call for unity and constructive engagement, stating that the joint parliamentary group meeting provided an opportunity for leaders to prioritize national interests over political rivalry.

Among the key issues discussed were economic growth strategies, job creation for the youth, strengthening parliamentary oversight, improving service delivery at both national and county levels, and ensuring political stability.
