The enhanced financing solution targets key sectors including manufacturing, trade and logistics, infrastructure, health, and education—areas seen as pivotal to Kenya’s economic transformation. The move signals a bold step by the bank to respond to the rising demand for fast, flexible, and customer-centric financing as the economy becomes increasingly asset-driven.

A central feature of the new proposition is a streamlined and market-aligned financing framework designed to improve speed, simplicity, and predictability. The revamped offering also introduces extended loan tenors of up to 84 months for select asset classes—among the longest in the market—alongside financing of up to 100%. Supported asset categories include school buses, personal vehicles (including imports), medical equipment, agricultural machinery, solar solutions, and other productive assets critical to business growth.

Speaking during the launch event in , Managing Director and CEO emphasized the bank’s commitment to enabling enterprise:

“This refreshed offering reflects our commitment to supporting productive enterprise across Kenya’s key value chains. By ensuring capital flows efficiently to where it is most impactful, we are empowering businesses and individuals to invest, expand, and compete with greater certainty.”

To further strengthen delivery, the bank has established a dedicated Asset Financing Centre, bringing together specialized expertise, sector-specific credit assessment, and coordinated execution teams. This investment is expected to enhance customer experience, improve advisory services, and ensure reliable delivery of financing at scale.

Business Banking Director noted that the revamped proposition—dubbed ABF 2.0—is rooted in practical execution:

“ABF 2.0 is a direct response to customer needs. By simplifying processes and investing in specialist capabilities, we are making asset acquisition faster, clearer, and more accessible across key sectors.”

The initiative is further supported by an expanding network of local and international asset partners, enabling seamless alignment between financing and asset acquisition across industries such as agribusiness, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and renewable energy.

The revamped asset financing proposition reflects Absa’s broader purpose of empowering Africa’s tomorrow by converting capital into tangible economic outcomes and supporting sustainable growth across Kenya’s economy.
