Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has strongly condemned what he termed as a disturbing incident in which a foreign national allegedly recorded and circulated intimate images of Kenyan women without their consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Speaking on behalf of the Government, Mwaura stated that the act is a grave violation of personal dignity and privacy as enshrined under Articles 28 and 31 of the Constitution of Kenya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He described the incident as an affront to Kenya\u2019s national values, cultural integrity, and the safety of women and girls.
\u201cThe Government stands in solidarity with all affected women and will ensure justice is served,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Mwaura confirmed that a coordinated whole-of-government response has been activated, directing security, investigative, and prosecutorial agencies to urgently pursue the matter in collaboration with international authorities due to its cross-border nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the suspect will face the full force of the law under the Penal Code, the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, and other applicable statutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Through the Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services, the Government is also strengthening policy measures on online safety and protection from digital exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities are engaging stakeholders across the culture, tourism, hospitality, and digital sectors to enhance prevention and accountability frameworks.
Affected individuals have been encouraged to seek assistance through the National Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Toll-Free Helpline 1195.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Mwaura highlighted progress under the NYOTA \u2013 National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement programme, a key pillar of the Government\u2019s economic inclusion agenda spearheaded by President William Ruto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The NYOTA Business Startup Capital component has successfully concluded its first phase of national grant distribution across all 47 counties as of 12 February. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative is designed to support young entrepreneurs in launching and scaling their enterprises, with a strong emphasis on transparency, accountability, and inclusivity \u2014 including persons with disabilities and refugee communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The programme complements other government initiatives such as Affordable Housing and Kazi Mtaani, which aim to stimulate job creation and strengthen grassroots economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
