We must protect patients and ensure they receive the right information and proper care,\u201d Dr. Sawe emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He warned that misinformation can undermine adherence to treatment, disrupt HIV prevention efforts, and reverse years of progress in patient care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While public and private hospitals, health centers, and dispensaries continue to provide counseling and antiretroviral therapy (ART), Dr. Sawe noted that declining donor funding threatens the sustainability of these programs.\u201cHIV medication has always been available, but funding structures remain a major challenge. We must learn from past lessons, strengthen present strategies, and rethink future funding frameworks to safeguard treatment continuity,\u201d he said.Dr. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sawe urged government agencies, healthcare institutions, and development partners to prioritize sustainable domestic financing and reinforce systems that guarantee uninterrupted treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> He also called on healthcare workers to uphold professionalism, integrity, and compassion, emphasizing that people living with HIV deserve dignity, accurate guidance, and consistent access to life-saving medication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kenya continues to benefit from strong support for HIV treatment from government programs, NGOs, global partners, health workers, and community advocates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Nevertheless, challenges such as funding gaps, stigma, and misinformation persist, highlighting the need for continued advocacy, strong health systems, and public awareness campaigns to ensure the rights and health of people living with HIV are protected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However,experts continue to study new strategies, medications, and approaches to improve patient outcomes.
