NAIROBI, Kenya, October 14, 2026 — TVS Motor Company has appointed Pradeep Chaurasiya as Business Head of Africa for International Business, marking a new chapter in his eight-year career with the company across the continent.

Chaurasiya announced the development while reflecting on his professional journey, which began with responsibility for a single African country and has since expanded to a leadership role covering more than 50 countries.

“Eight years ago, I started with TVS in Africa with just one country. Today, I’m privileged to lead our journey across a continent of 50+ countries,” he said.

A Leadership Approach Rooted in Local Markets

Chaurasiya highlighted the diversity of Africa’s markets, noting that successful business growth requires an understanding of local communities, cultures, customer preferences and business practices.

“Africa is not one market. It is many, each with its own people, culture, and way of doing business,” he said, adding that every stage of his journey had provided valuable lessons.

His approach is particularly relevant to markets such as Kenya, where motorcycles and other mobility solutions play an important role in daily transportation, trade and livelihoods.

He emphasised learning, curiosity and experimentation as key principles that have shaped his professional journey. According to Chaurasiya, progress has involved testing new ideas, learning from mistakes and building on successful strategies.

Recognising Partners and Customers

The newly appointed Africa Business Head also acknowledged the contributions of customers, distributors, business partners, colleagues and mentors to TVS Motor Company’s growth across the continent.

He thanked customers for trusting the company’s products as part of their everyday lives and livelihoods, while recognising distributors and business partners for supporting its presence in local markets.

Chaurasiya also credited colleagues for their hard work, ideas and continued support, and mentors for providing guidance, honest feedback and confidence throughout his career.

Focus Turns to the Future

As he assumes his new responsibilities, Chaurasiya said he intends to build on the foundation established over the past eight years, maintaining a leadership approach centred on listening, humility and continuous learning.

“I’m excited about what lies ahead, and committed to building on this foundation with humility, with listening, and with the same spirit of experimentation that got us here,” he said.

His appointment comes as TVS Motor Company continues to focus on its international business, with Africa representing a diverse collection of markets requiring locally responsive business strategies and strong relationships with customers and distribution partners.
